REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA - CALIFORNIA MICROWAVE, INC. (Nasdaq National Market: CMIC) announced the appointment of James R. Gribbon to the position of vice president, Asia-Pacific. He is based in the companyís Singapore regional office. Substantial Experience in Asia-Pacific James R. Gribbon represents California Microwave as the senior executive in Asia-Pacific, excluding China where the companyís Beijing office manages its China business. Working directly with individual divisions in support of their sales goals, Gribbon is responsible for coordinating the companyís regional sales, marketing and services activities. Gribbon brings to California Microwave more than nine years experience in the Asia-Pacific region, where in 1992 he established and managed the direct sales and support activities of Scientific Atlantaís satellite communications network and product business with a subsidiary in Singapore and later a branch office in Beijing. Mike Wytyshyn, senior vice president, Asia-Pacific, commented, "Jimís recognized product and system sales experience to Asia-Pacific telecommunications and broadcast customers should serve California Microwave well in our wireless and satellite communications markets." Gribbon began his career with IBM and has worked for Equatorial Communications, a pioneer VSAT manufacturer-operator and the forerunner of California Microwaveís shared satellite communications operational hub station in Mountain View, Calif. Gribbon holds a B.A. in economics from Colgate University, New York. California Microwave, Inc. is a leader in wireless and satellite communications.
