CALIFORNIA MICROWAVE ADDS BOARD MEMBER

Houston, Texas - California Microwave, Inc. (Nasdaq National Market: CMIC) announced the election of J. J. Adorjan to its board of directors at its annual meeting of shareholders held at the companyís Microwave Network Systems (MNS) division in Houston.

Adorjan: Strong Operations Experience
J. J. Adorjan has had strong operations experience at both Borg Warner Security Corporation, where he is president and chief executive officer, and at Emerson Electric Company. Prior to joining Borg-Warner in April 1995, Mr. Adorjan was president of Emerson, where he served in various positions, including vice chairman and executive vice president. According to Philip F. Otto, California Microwaveís chairman and chief executive officer, "Mr. Adorjanís management skills have led to impressive results at major corporations, such as Emerson, which has enjoyed an enviable record of consistent earnings growth. The addition of Joe Adorjan to our board of directors will assist in achieving the global integration of our units, including recent acquisitions."
