ALEXANDRIA, VA, August 7, 1997 --- Comark Digital Services (CDS) and Microwave Radio Communications (MRC) will work together to provide broadcasters with comprehensive solutions for the transition to digital television (DTV), it was announced today. Under the terms of the agreement, CDS, a division of COMARK Communications, Inc., will work with MRC, a division of California Microwave, to offer integrated systems for digital television. The companies will work together to ensure interoperability of DTV equipment and systems. CDS will market and sell MRC digital studio transmitter link (STL) products to broadcasters. "Our goal is to offer broadcasters the best possible technology, and MRC is clearly the preeminent manufacturer of digital video microwave products," said Mark S. Richer, Vice President and General Manager of CDS. "Microwave Radio Communications is committed to providing broadcasters the most appropriately engineered solutions to digital video microwave requirements. MRC looks forward to providing those solutions to CDS customers," said Robert J. Morrill, President and Chief Operating Officer of MRC.
