REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA - CALIFORNIA MICROWAVE, INC. (Nasdaq National Market:CMIC) announced today that it had won a $5 million contract from the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS), the Jamaican electric power utility operation, to supply digital microwave radios for the new JPS communications system which will interconnect JPS facilities throughout the island. Work on the project already has commenced and the system is expected to be fully installed and operational in early 1997.
