CALIFORNIA MICROWAVE WINS RADIO CONTRACT
FROM WINSTAR WIRELESS

REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA - CALIFORNIA MICROWAVE, INC. (Nasdaq National Market: CMIC) announced that it had won a three-year contract, valued at over $1.8 million, to supply 38-GHz digital microwave radios to WinStar Wireless, Inc. The contract will call for California Microwave's high-capacity versions of its 38-GHz radio to assist WinStar in providing more effective broadband services. Deliveries are to commence in California Microwave's fourth fiscal quarter ending June 30, 1996.

Highly Reliable Products Gain New Customer
WinStar Wireless, Inc. is a subsidiary of WinStar Communications Inc., a leading telecommunications and information services provider in the United States. "California Microwave's proven expertise in providing highly reliable microwave radio systems and the availability of their high-capacity 38-GHz system were critical factors in our decision to enter into this new supplier relationship," commented William J.
