REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA - CALIFORNIA MICROWAVE, INC. (Nasdaq National
Market:CMIC) announced that its Microwave Network Systems Division had
reached an agreement with Positron Fiber Systems (PFS) to develop and market
high-capacity radios and multiplexers on a joint basis. The first product
developed, the CM-HC high-capacity microwave radio and multiplexer, will be
unveiled at the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association's national
conference March 25-27, 1996, in Dallas, Texas. The CM-HC product platform can
operate in either synchronous, asynchronous or a mixed fiber optic and microwave
environment.

Global Product Platform Positron Fiber systems, Inc.
