Redwood City, California - CALIFORNIA MICROWAVE, INC. (CMIC-Nasdaq) announced today that its Microwave Network Systems (MNS) division has received a contract in excess of $1 million to supply equipment for relocation of the Escambia County, Florida, emergency communications system.
Making Room For Personal Communications Services Escambia County is at the western end of the Florida Panhandle. Much of the relocation effort will take place in Pensacola, the county seat. PrimeCo Personal Communications L.P. is establishing a new personal communications services system and is relocating the county's emergency network to clear the frequencies. California Microwave, Inc. is a leading U.S. supplier of satellite earth stations and microwave radio infrastructure products, installed in more than 110 countries. The MNS division designs and manufactures microwave radio systems for cellular, personal communications services and public and private communications networks.
